Fabulous Friday in Kawete

We had a great day today at CCLS-Uganda. The blackboard painting was completed. There was a Women's Bible Study led by Beth Miller and Katie Killian and there were about 75 women in attendance. The topic was 1st Corinthians Chapter 13. The women were engaged and encouraged and they all sang and danced. The last of the sponsored children were interviewed. The entire school was given new school uniform shirts and they were so excited and do they look sharp!  Dr Belsha and Dr Killian were busy in the medical clinic and saw another 50 patients. The baby girl with hydrocephalus returned and another ventricular tap was done and the infant looked and felt much better. We are still working on getting a surgical solution worked out so keep the child-Sharifu- in your prayers. Tonight we will be dining on food prepared by some of the team at a hotel kitchen in Jinja. We are going back to that hotel to donor after getting refreshed at the Sunset Hotel. Tomorrow will be our second to last day. We are going to be sad😞
Sharifu is a 3 month old infant with hydrocephalus.  We treated her twice by removing fluid by inserting a small needle through the soft spot into the enlarged ventricles.  We removed about 4 ounces through 2 taps and the soft spot became much less tense with the infant being happier and feeding better.  Please pray for Sharifu that a cure will be made available to her!
